BIO & RESUME.

Elena Lozonschi is an actor and theatre-maker born in Romania and now based between New York and Los Angeles. She grew up surrounded by old tales, protest songs, and the echo of folk traditions where stories weren’t just entertainment, they were lifelines. She began her artistic life as a classical pianist, starting at age four and competing nationally and internationally throughout her youth. The discipline and musical sensitivity from those years remain central to her work, grounding her in truth and a deep respect for human experience.

Elena trained at the New York Film Academy and Stella Adler Professional Conservatory, pairing rigorous technique with an appetite for experimentation. Her performances span classical roles, devised ensemble pieces, and intimate one-person shows. Notable stage credits include Lyubov Andreyevna in The Cherry Orchard, Horatio and Laertes in Hamlet, the solo piece Girls & Boys, and devised ensemble work in Lists of Promise. She has also appeared in the short film American Dreamin’.

In addition to her work with Béton Brut Productions, where she serves as co-founder and co-artistic director, Elena is part of Fever Dreams, a troupe of theatre-makers and variety artists performing original acts and productions that blur the lines between theatre, circus, and experimental performance.

Elena’s work across stage, film, and hybrid performance is guided by one intention: to create stories that stay with people — not because they’re loud, but because they’re honest. With roots in Romania and a career growing internationally, she continues to build work that is raw, truthful, and deeply alive.
